Lombard Campus Updates

The Admissions team would like to welcome the August and September 2016 classes to campus! We are excited to have morning and evening classes in session and off to a great start! Congratulations to those students who are already involved in the stations and remote broadcasts. We can’t wait to see what’s next for all of you!
We are also thrilled to be partnered with the Bulls NBA D-League Team – The Windy City Bulls – in conjunction with our advanced Sports Emphasis Program! Our students and instructors will be covering the entire broadcast (both radio and television) for all 24 of the team’s home games this year.

Enrollment is underway now for our fall classes! If you know someone who is interested in joining the school, send them our way today!

Hello from the exciting world of Career Services.  My first day here at IMS was on September 19th and since then I have been hitting the ground running! Thank you to the faculty, staff and students for the warm welcome! Career Services has been focusing on making sure that you, the students, have access to the tools needed for a successful career search. I have taken your areas of concern and developed some Career Services Workshops. The workshop calendars are located outside most classrooms, front door, bathroom doors, and the event board…you really can’t miss them! All workshops begin promptly at 2:30pm. These workshops will be treated just like a job interview, if you are not there by 2:31pm you will not be able to join. We have 1 full hour to cover the topics, and believe me…we will need that hour. Through the month of October, we are focusing on career basics such as building a career path, writing a resume, online job applications, and those pesky Applicant Tracking Systems.  If you have any ideas for future topics, email them to me a fmuller@beonair.com In the future I hope to be able to implement workshops for the evening population.

For The Edge side of things, we want to congratulate Devil’s Radio as the show of the month for September. They always put on a great show and always come prepared to make people laugh. They have gained fans of the show and draw an audience.

We had a number of finalists from the Lombard campus qualify as finalists for the Silver Dome Awards we had students; Greg Guther, Adam Janovsky, Andrew Janovsky, Naomi Padilla, Daseon Evans, and Michael Chen. We also had graduates, Cody Grant, Jamie Newell,  and Lee Saldana qualify for the awards. The ceremony takes place on October 14th at Illinois State University.
