Welcome to the main campus of the Illinois Center for Broadcasting located in the Western suburbs of Chicago! We opened our doors in 1986 and currently have six partner campus located in Illinois, Ohio, Colorado, and Florida.

If you’ve ever experienced more traditional education, when you visit ICB/Lombard you’ll immediately notice how unique our campus is. With hands-on training by professional broadcasters who are working in the industry NOW, flexible day and night classes, we feature an interactive curriculum that showcases all the areas of media. From on-air skill sets to behind the scenes, from Radio to Television to Web Based Media, our campus is a working training center for gaining multiple skills that lead to real careers in the media industry.

Located on the corner of Eisenhower Lane and Finley Road, students participate in weekly radio and tv shows at live stations doing sports, music or entertainment/news formats. With two live TV studios that feature NewTek’s Tricaster system, multiple digital audio and video work studios, our students focus on the same content and programming that they will do in the real world. From 30 minute newscasts, to music videos and talk shows and creating websites, the amount of creativity and industry knowledge is brimming out of ICB/Lombard! Our schools 3 internet radio stations are staffed and operated by current students and graduates allowing opportunities to gain the training that will lead to exciting and rewarding media careers.

If that wasn’t enough, our students get to intern at radio and tv stations located in the number 3 market in the country, Chicago! Our student’s intern at NBC, FOX, WGN, B96, ESPN, WSCR “The Score”, Comcast, KISS FM, and pretty much every other station and studio in Chicago. It’s an amazing opportunity to work alongside some of the top talent and producers in the country.
