Alumni Spotlight: Nate Nadolski-Ohio Media School 2006 Alumnus
“Live in your Moment!”
Meet Ohio Media School (formally Ohio Center for Broadcasting) Alumni, Nate Nadolski. A great uniter and talented broadcast professional, Nate is celebrating his 16th season working Cleveland Cavaliers games. He will tell you, “Being courtside for the National Basketball Association (NBA) never loses its coolness and running the RF takes you right in the middle of the action. I’ve worked 5 Finals and hope this squad takes us to the 6th!”
Nate’s story began with a desire to be on the radio. While attending Ohio Media School he interned for some local Radio greats, but at graduation it would be a camera opportunity with PGA TOUR for ABC Sports that would change his career path. Nate is grateful to then Career Services Director Gary James for his career support.
Recognizing the importance of networking and timing combined with hard work and reliability would become Nate’s winning combination for success. There was a lot of work in Cleveland and Nate was determined to grow his career as a camera pro. A Runner for ESPN led to 5 PGA Golf Tournaments and then to the Cleveland Cavaliers who had just made the playoffs. A talented industry pro who is cool under pressure, Nate has found great success. Each opportunity taken has brought him to the next.
Very generous with his industry expertise, It was our pleasure to have Nate join our Beonair Webinar Forum along with another very talented alum of Illinois Media School, Derek Spallone. Together they delivered great industry advice, tips for success and the offer to mentor our emerging sports broadcasting talent.
Nate’s advice, “Reach out and let others know what you want to do. Work hard and you will find yourself living your dream.”
Working for a variety of leaders in the industry which include NPi Audio Visual Solutions, Bally’s Sports, Lyon Video, Program Productions, Inc., and Major League Baseball, Nate is living his dream. A great family man and industry professional, it is with pride that we share Nate Nadolski’s spotlight. With the goal of paying it forward to the next generation of sports production professionals, we greatly appreciate Nate’s alumni engagement.
