I am happily employed as an engineer for Piedmont Television in Youngstown, Ohio, WKBN-CBS, and WYFX-Fox. I wake up every day and can’t wait to go to work. Being in broadcasting is about having fun and enjoying what you do. I am responsible for running master control, keeping the FCC logs for both stations updated, getting feeds from our satellite dishes, and sending them to the server, and to backup tape. At OCB, get your hands on the equipment as much as possible. The fact that I was so familiar with much of the equipment has allowed me to progress much quicker than a lot of other people. The more hands-on experience you get while at OCB, the more valuable you will be at your first job. I am truly grateful for the hands-on education OCB gave me.
