Radio producer (or creative producer)
A radio producer is responsible for planning and executing the content of a radio show. This person may develop and research show topics, decide which guests will be invited, and determine the structure of the show itself. Depending on the station, the radio producer might also interact with sponsors and advertisers, taking charge of the business side.
An audio producer, or audio engineer, works behind the scenes to create and perfect everything that listeners hear. This means managing everything from sound effects and jingles to guest features and music. A station manager supervises everyone on the station team, making sure that the day-to-day operations run smoothly. This job can take on many different forms, but it almost always involves organizing the details of everyday scheduling, content, and staff. Usually, the station manager focuses on maximizing the station’s profits, managing the budget, and growing the audience.
Radio presenter (DJ or podcast host)
