It was both a stylish and healthy event at Illinois Centers for Broadcasting when “Red Carpet Ready”, a party for ladies only, took place at the State Street campus recently. Candace Jordan, of Watch312’s “Candid Candace Chicago“, shared her Red Carpet secrets as well as instructed attendees on what to wear, how to pose and how to strut your stuff for the camera. She also shared her story about Candid Candace lipstick and presented a short video of her CAMP Cosmetics ad campaign. Afterwards, every guest received a tube of the perfect coral!

Adrian Dortch, a Biggest Loser participant, shared his inspiring story of how he went from over 400 pounds to 220 through healthy eating. His tricks and tips, such as substituting Prego Smart pasta sauce for regular as well as suggesting a low-cal Alfredo sauce (Ragu has one) had the crowd furiously scribbling notes. He met his wife, Kimbret, when they were 13 years old and have been married for five years. He brought along his best friend, Howard Godfrey, star of the hit reality show “Chicagolicious“. Godfrey spoke of how Adrian has inspired and encouraged him to eat healthier, too.

Goodie bags, raffle items, manicures and snacks completed a perfect night “on campus.”
