Tracey Bond – Certified Social Media Pro
Tracey Bond, Certified Social Media Pro visited ICB-Chicago O’Hare campus on Tuesday, July 23rd to discuss the best way to utilize social media in promotions. Tracey enjoys working as a Social Media Pro and learning about new products to market and sell online.
Tracey discussed how social media broadcasters need to have a strong ability to listen “to the conversation” of a radio broadcast and pay attention to the visuals of a TV program n in order to best identify what is currently on people’s minds. Tracey explained that the word “broadcast” originally was an agrarian term that meant, “to spread seeds.” Social media can spread an item faster than any other medium today to hundreds of thousands via Facebook, Twitter, Four Square or some other form of social media Tracey talked about how she uses social media for her clients to plant seeds through technology, using pictures that represent more than a 1,000 words (which is the proverbial saying). In Tracey’s opinion, a good photo and/or picture description is more like 10,000 words or more. She shares the importance of audio recording her demonstrations and guest speaking engagements so that potential listeners who were not able to physically attend her events can still get her message and experience “her brand.”
Tracey used her website to perform a demonstration for ICB-Chicago students on learning how to use words that can be easily associated with your brand. What Tracey shared will help anyone with an audience to visualize a name by pairing it with particular words and pictures. Tracey talked about forms of technology that can be used to detect different conversations that are being held via social media, which helps her to aid her clients in utilizing a strategy that is of interest in making a mark with the targeted demographic.
ICB-Chicago students had the opportunity to ask questions following the seminar and received her contact information for potential internship opportunities.
